Bowman Report is a new publication that invites the animal health community to think deeper about current trends and relevant issues. It's a quarterly journal comprised of a diverse set of viewpoints from industry experts.
We launched the first issue of Bowman Report with a limited print edition of perfect-bound books, which were rolled and placed inside a set of empty soup cans. The cans were joined at the ends with string to form a crude telephone set, which doubled as packaging for the book. I designed a set of Bowman’s Telemedicine Soup labels to parody Andy Warhol’s iconic Campbell's Soup Cans with hand-drawn script lettering to match.
For its first installment as a new publication, I developed a brand identity for Bowman Report with a color scheme as academic as I could muster and topped it off with a collegiate “BR” monogram, which is meant to subtly resemble an archer. I designed the books, illustrated the graphics, and laid out each page.
The content, the discussion, and all of the writing was done with the help of our talented team, our partners, and our panel of experts. Edition 1 is presented in a interview format with responses from each panel member. I thought it was a compelling read. It’s all available at bowmanreport.com if you’re interested.
